HOBBY HAND LETTERER TURNED FULL TIME CALLIGRAPHER, EDUCATOR AND COURSE CREATOR.
Do you want to be creative but think you don't have a creative bone in your body? I've been there. I was in search of an outlet from my very uncreative job in advertising and tech. I needed to create something with my hands instead of just using them to type email after email, pitch after pitch. So I ventured way outside my comfort zone and picked up some brush markers and nibs. I found that with a lot of patience and practice, writing pretty calligraphy was possible.
Write Pretty Things started as a side hustle because working 9 to 5 is not my jam. So I thought why not take my love of handlettering and see if I could turn it into a business? After a few years of creating, learning the basics and forming my own modern style of calligraphy, I decided to open a shop and began teaching others about handlettering. Turns out, you can earn a living doing something you love.
If you love your coffee iced, drink your Malbec out of a mug and love dogs > cats, we should be calligrabesties.
