DIY – Calligraphy Ornaments

You know the drill. November hits and you feel like Christmas is next week! Doing everything I can to NOT put the tree and decorations up, but who said you can’t make Christmas ornaments early? Some red velvet ribbon, clear ornaments, green crinkle and gold calligraphy make for a quick crafty afternoon.

These are perfect stocking stuffers, teacher gifts and even small presents for your coworkers or team members. And pets. Your pets will love them. Mine did 🙂

What You’ll Need:

  • Plastic Fillable Ornaments
  • Thin Red Velvet Ribbon – The ribbon I used was 1/4 of an inch wide
  • Filling – I used green metallic crinkle that came in strips.
  • Paint Pen – The Pen Touch Paint Marker 2.0mm comes in a few metallic colors. A medium point Sharpie would work too.

What To Do:

Fill your ornament by either stuffing crinkle strips into the opening or by using a funnel if you have cut up crinkle. Fake snow would also work as filling.

Personalize your custom ornament! Even though my dogs can’t read, I thought they’d appreciate their names in modern calligraphy.

String some ribbon and you’re all set! Change up the filling, ribbon or pen color and you’ll have quick and cheap custom ornaments for everyone on your list. Let me know in the comments if you try this fun project!
